The Research Committee shall be responsible for the research and information needs of AVWOG&C
committees and special projects through a variety of ways.
The Committee shall accomplish this by:
The committee shall work with City, County, State, Federal and other organizations to determine the highest priority research/information needs as well as determine the appropriate source for research information.
The committee shall coordinate the evaluation of high priority research and information needs with
research/information organizations to identify existing sources of information to transfer/translate the information to end users.
The committee shall develop an action plan, in coordination with research organizations, to initiate new research needed to address needs articulated by AVWOG&C committees or the director. Similar research needs may be aggregated into larger research initiatives.
The committee shall, on a regular basis, evaluate the effectiveness of new and ongoing research to meet the needs of AVWOG&C and disseminate the information to decision makers in a timely manner. There may be times when research information comes up that is critical in terms of time and importance. This information shall be quickly disseminated to the appropriate people within AVWOG&C for action.
